Kristin Worley Smith

SMSD has always been much more than a dance studio to Kristin- it’s family! As the granddaughter of Shirley McPhail and daughter of Edwina McPhail Worley, Kristin grew up at the studio and loves getting to carry on her grandmother’s legacy as Assistant Director and teacher.

Kristin graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Early Childhood Education, making teaching little ones a natural fit both in and out of the dance studio. She loves watching her students grow in confidence, make friendships, and, of course, fall in love with dance!

Kristin also serves on the Board of the Texas Association Teachers of Dancing (TATD) and loves being part of the dance community beyond SMSD.

When she’s not at the studio, Kristin is usually with her favorite crew: James (7), Shirley Kate (5 months), husband Winn and their two dogs, Toddy and Tex. She loves trying new restaurants, heading to the mountains whenever she gets the chance, and spending time with friends and family. Give her good food, mountain air, and her favorite people, and she’s a happy girl!
