Instructor

Michelle started dancing at the age of 3 at SMSD. As a teenager she performed with SMSDance Company (Terpsichore), the Bowie Silver Stars, and in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade for 2 years. On the Silver Stars she served as junior lieutenant her junior year and captain her senior year. Michelle won many solo dance awards, Silver Star of the Year and Who’s Who of Bowie High School and Nationally. She also won the All-Around Award at TATD (Texas Association Teachers of Dance).

After high school Michelle began teaching combo, tap, jazz, drill team, adult tap, and adult jazz classes at SMSD. She was also Assistant Director of Troupe until returning to school to finish her degree. She graduated summa cum lade from Texas State University with a major in dance and a minor in education. 

In 2009 Michelle was part of the opening team at Gorzycki Middle School, and she built their dance program. Currently Michelle teaches semester long dance classes and directs 3 dance teams at GMS.

Michelle enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends. Michelle has a loving and supportive husband Aaron, and together they have 3 children: Mason, Alex, and Addison. Michelle loves teaching at GMS and SMSD. She believes she is so blessed to be able to share and spread her love of dance through teaching.
