Lexi Eicher

Lexi Eicher is a current professional dancer in her fourth season with Ballet Austin. She grew up in Fort Wayne, IN where she began both her dance training and her teaching career, undertaking many children’s classes at multiple studios during high school. She has experience in contemporary and modern styles on top of her classical ballet training. In 2021, she graduated from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music with a Bachelor of Science in Ballet & Psychology. During college, she performed works by renowned choreographers such as George Balanchine, Antony Tudor, Martha Graham, Jerome Robbins, and Christopher Wheeldon. She also took three years of ballet pedagogy courses and taught the Pre-College Program’s Introductory to Ballet classes.
She moved to Austin in the fall of 2021 to begin her career with Ballet Austin, where she has performed in artistic director Stephen Mills' The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, & Sleeping Beauty, among many others. She has taught a multitude of classes in Ballet Austin's Academy for the past three years, ranging from Pre-Ballet all the way through the most advanced levels & pointe classes. She is excited to share her passion for ballet with the students of Shirley McPhail School of Dance this season.
