We are thrilled to present our 55th Annual Recital: “Blast From The Past”!
Mandatory Dress Rehearsals: Fri. 5/30 & Sat. 5/31
Recitals: Sat. 5/31 & Sun. 6/1
All recitals & dress rehearsals are at Westlake High School Performing Arts Center

The last week of dance class is May 19-24. There are no classes during dress rehearsal/recital week.

Parent Observation + Costume Pick Up Week May 12-17
One adult must attend last 20 minutes of dancer’s class.
Eligible dancers will receive their 5 + years dance awards. Dancers will receive their costume and tights (combo dancers) to take home.
All accounts must be paid in full to receive costumes.
We’re excited to share that your recital fee covers everything you need! There’s no need to worry about purchasing tickets separately—just BRING AS MANY GUESTS AS YOU'D LIKE to enjoy the performances!
Dance Awards
DUE BY TUESDAY, APRIL 15
Students who have danced at SMSD for 5 or more years are eligible to receive special recognition! Dancers must have started taking class at SMSD Fall 2020 or earlier.
These special dancers will be recognized in the recital program, and they will be introduced in class during parent observation week (May 12-17).
Recital Portraits: Wed. 5/28 & Thurs. 5/29 from 2-7pm at SMSD
NO sitting fee / NO obligation to purchase if you don’t like pictures
Packages start at $25
Offering prints, digital images, and specialty items
5-7 poses per outfit (multiple options to choose from)
Dancers should wear light make up and bring correct dance shoes

Time slots fill quickly, so please don't wait until the last minute to book! Each time slot has limited availability and will close once full—no additional slots will be added.

FREE Hair & Make Up Tutorial Class: Sat. 5/17 at SMSD (Time TBA)
All dancers are required to wear makeup for dress rehearsal & recital.
Bring your dancer with you to this class. No sign up required- just show up to this class!
Dancers need red lipstick, blush, dark brown or grey eyeshadow, mascara/eyeliner (older dancers), bobby pins, hair ties that match dancer’s hair color, brush, hairspray. Bun makers, hair nets & bobby pins can be purchased at Dancer's Den!
Recital Flowers
SMSDance Troupe will be selling rose bouquets at recital.
No need to preorder!
