YES, we are having recitals on SATURDAY & SUNDAY. AISD's decision to extend the school year into the week after Memorial Day has required us to make some adjustments to our recital schedule, differing from what we've done in past years.

RECITAL FORM

Remember: all dancers must submit a recital form by November 10 regardless of participation. These forms were emailed out on 10/13 or click above link to complete.

Dress rehearsals are Friday, May 30 & Saturday, May 31. Dress rehearsals are mandatory. Each class will be assigned an approx. 2 hour block of time on one of these dates. All dress rehearsals are held at Westlake High PAC.

Recitals are Saturday, May 30 & Sunday, June 1. SMSD typically has 4 individual recitals. Each class will be assigned to one recital time. Advanced classes may be assigned to perform in multiple recitals.

Dress rehearsal & recital schedules will be sent out by April 1, 2025.

Costume & Participation Fees

Costume deposit is $90/dancer/class. This is charged on November 10, 2024. Tap and Jazz level I & up only have one costume fee due if a student is enrolled in both classes. This is only a deposit, and some classes may be charged for the remaining balance in the spring.

Recital fee is $145/family. This is charged on January 10, 2025. This fee includes a digital download of all shows, recital t-shirt, recital tights for combo, CJBT, BTJ classes & UNLIMITED TICKETS (families can bring as many guests as they want; you will no longer need to purchase tickets separately)!

Costume & recital fees are non-refundable.

Costume Measuring Week

We will measure dancers for their recital costumes in class the week of December 2-7. It is so important for your dancer to be in attendance this week. If your dancer misses this class, it is up to the parent to bring them to the office to be measured.
